Make sure your FTX-1 is in "VFO mode" not "Memory Mode" or "Memory Tune
Mode" (see manual).
VFO A should be highlighted in yellow in the Win-Test Band Map.
Does VFO B (SUB) track?
The second COM port supports FSK RTTY, CW, and PTT keying via DTR and RTS
