[WT-support] WinTest IOTA Setup and potential unsupported issue

I had great difficulty working out how to configure WinTest for IOTA this year. It is probably an age related thing, but I could not find anywhere a straightforward set of instructions that show/tell how to set up exchange guessing and prefills. The biggest issue I found was when I do a search using the Search facility in the Win-test Mailing List web page for IOTA I get six (yes 6!) unhelpful results; I find that very strange, and if I search for IOTA.DTB or CTY_IOTA.DAT I get one single result for each, with emails that are not helpful.
Is there a definitive (up-to-date) page in the Wiki or even a support response that tells a dumb user like me how to set up the IOTA contest so that:
- the IOTA reference for expedition stations is shown in the band map or Check Partial list? I know this was created by some good soul and available before the contest in the past. How to find it and install it? Is there an easy way I could build the file myself?
- the IOTA reference is automatically prefilled in the log entry line?
When we tried to self-spot, which is permitted in the IOTA contest, WInTest crashed and the wtDXTelnet disconnected. Did we not have the latest version? We downloaded and installed on Thursday evening prior to the contest. Had this rule not been implemented before Thursday?
Thanks for reading and hopefully helping.
