[WT-support] Win11 and Win-Test v 4.42

I have killed the Fn function because I use the F-keys in my account system. It is ONLY F1 that decide to start Windows / Edge help instead of CQ in Win-Test. CTRL+F1 and ALT+F1 works fine. 

 

I will look for more information on Google tomorrow.

On many laptops you have to press Fn to switch the top row of keys to be function keys rather than Windows keys. There's also a BIOS setting to turn that on by default, in most cases.

 

Look up the specific model number you have and search for "function keys" using Google.

Do any of the other function keys like F4 work? Or Shift+ F1?

MMTTY is not installed at all. I only try the F1 in CW mode. 

 

The laptop is a HP and maybe HP has taken over F1 for Windows help. I do have problems with other software where the short cut is not doing as I wanted it.

I think others are running Windows 11 and Win-Test with no problem.

 

By chance are you auto-starting MMTTY?  That takes the focus away from Win-Test at first launch (no blinking cursor in logging window).  Easy solution, if you need MMTTY, is to minimize and maximize Win-Test.  That returns the focus to Win-Test and the blinking cursor appears in the logging window.

 

I do wish it would blink faster though, or provide the option of a solid block cursor.
