Actually, the speed capability is mostly related to your configuration 
(machine, browser etc.). I just added a drop-down list to choose a 
theorical update inverval time, but by experience, it may be not very 
accurate...

Note you can also "browse" your log by stopping the replay, and manually 
drag the slider position with your mouse. The update time of the map in 
this case clearly shows the limitation of all processes involved (google 
maps, your config, the javascript language etc.).
