Summary:
Alt-Click should SubRx mode too
Ctrl-F12 should clear numeric headings from entry window
I'm running WT 4.54 with Radio 1 set to Elecraft K4.
Band Map and Sub Rx Mode
------------------------
I don't operate mixed mode contests in assisted mode very often, so I never
noticed this until now.
I've enabled Single-Click actions, but I don't think this makes any
difference.
(You can right click on the following windows in Win-Test to enable "Single
Click Actions" on a per-window basis: Band Map, DX Cluster, Check Partial,
and Check Multipliers.)
For operating "SO2V" mode, (two VFOs, one radio), I really like using
Alt-Click (or Alt-Double-Click) to move the frequency of the Sub VFO to the
spot. This works fine in single mode contests. But in mixed mode
contests, Win-Test doesn't change the *mode* of the SubRx per the frequency
range set by the BandMap settings, like it does when I single click on a
spot.
For the Elecraft K3 and K4, the radio command to change the SubRx mode
(only) to USB, for example, would be MD$2; (the MD2; command changes MainRx
mode to USB).
I can't do this with a LUA script because there is no way to execute a
script automatically whenever you select a spot.
Rotator Control
---------------
I find it very convenient to use wtDxRotators to automatically rotate a
beam by typing a heading, prefix, or callsign in the logging window before
pressing Ctrl+F12 (or Alt+F12 for long path) to start rotation.
It would be nice if Win-Test could automatically CLEAR the logging window
after you press Ctrl+F12 or Alt-F12, if the logging window has an all
numeric heading like 275. If the logging window has a callsign or prefix
(any alpha characters), then pressing those keys should NOT clear the
logging window.
I don't think it will be very hard for me to write a new LUA script to do
that, but perhaps I won't have to?
