[WT-support] Need support from I4UFH for EZMaster WinKey problem

Hi Tonno,

 

Yes, the keyer in WT is working fine for me also.  It is only the EZMaster separate WK paddle input that is not working.  I thought the problem was with my EZM unit, but it sounds like there is a problem with the firmware since several others besides yourself who are having the same problem with EZM and manual WK.

 

Yes, it would be a shame to have to use a separate keyer for manual sending with EZMaster since that is one reason I upgraded from an older version DOS logging program to a Windows based system.  I agree that EZM is a fantastic device, and when you combine it with WT the combination is very FB!

 

Hopefully Fabio will release a fix for the WK problem soon.  WPX CW and IARU are coming up soon!

I have also not been able to get WK work correctly with WT , MP and EZM but I don't see any need for it as WT keyer is just fine!

 

Paddle is another major problem still with EZM, I have never got it working correctly and Fabio has promised to fix in next firmware. That is a shame that with this kind of fine unit you have to use separate keyer for just paddle. Other than that EZM is fabulous device.

I need your help.  WinKey is not working on new EZMaster.  Please advise correct dip switch settings inside EZMaster for WinKey.

That can be due to a bad setting on a dipswitch inside the EZMaster. Ask 
Fabio for assistance.

Does anyone know how to enable WinKey in EZMaster?  I am using EZM firmware
V1.40 with WT V3.8.6.  
 
 
The OFF/ON switch in the EZManager WK frame is missing and the WK enable
check box inside the WinTest configuration screen does not turn WK on.
Also, a side effect is that PTT and all CW keying from WT stops working
whenever WinKey enable is checked in WinTest, even though WK does not turn
on.   
 
I have my paddle with standard 3-wire cable and stereo connector plugged
into the Keyer jack on the EZMaster rear panel.  The EZM front panel CW
speed control seems to work (I can see the speed number change on the WT
Rate window) but nothing happens when the paddles are pressed.
 
Has anyone else experienced this problem with EZMaster and WinKey?

Yes, I also experienced this problem with EZMaster and Winkey.
 I spent a lot of time trying to solve it without success. Finally I decided to use external keyer.
