<div dir="ltr"><div>It sounds like you ran <b>Install_590scripts</b>, but did no further customization. The install script doesn't assume that you want to use the Kenwood voice memories, since many folks prefer to use the radio's sound card for voice keying, instead of the voice memories, but if you prefer to use the voice memories, it's pretty easy to set up. You have two choices:</div><div><ol><li>Use the Win-Test Scripts manager to manually assign:<br><br>PlayF1 to F1<br>PlayF2 to F2<br><br>etc.<br><br>-or-<br><br></li><li>Enable the Advanced SO2R Scenarios (even with just one radio), then modify the advanced SO2R scenario to call the scripts:<br><br>F1 scenario: #PLAYF1<br>F2 scenario: #PLAYF2<br>etc.</li></ol></div><div>(Do not do both; pick just one).</div><div><br></div><div>Of course both Win-Test and the radio have to be in voice mode, otherwise these scripts do nothing.</div><div><br></div><div>The advantage of using voice memories is that they are simple to set up, with no complex levels to set, and they always play immediately, with no sound card I/O delays.</div><div><br></div><div>This disadvantage of using voice memories vs. the radio's sound card (DVK = "USB Audio CODEC") is that Win-Test doesn't know when a voice memory stops playing, so SO2R features and automatic repeating CQ timing does not work as well as when using the Win-Test "Internal DVK" with the radio (USB Audio CODEC) selected as the voice keyer's sound card. </div><div><br></div><div>73,<br></div><div class="gmail_extra"><div><div class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div>Bob, N6TV</div></div></div>
