port <B>9871</B> on both computers, not 2871. Just press the [By

cancelled.</DIV>

Ethernet Crossover cable (special kind of Ethernet cable) or are they
connected to a common Ethernet router box?</DIV>

<DIV>If you open up a Windows command prompt on one computer and try pinging
the other computer, does it work?</DIV>

<DIV>If it says "Request timed out", the Windows network is not set up right.
If it works OK, chances are you have a Firewall program running on one
or both computers that is blocking port 9871. I will then need to know
which Firewall program you are using. It's also possible your router is
blocking communications on Port 9871.</DIV>
