</div><div>Are you connecting the two laptops directly to each other with an Ethernet Crossover cable (special kind of Ethernet cable) or are they connected to a common Ethernet router box?</div><div><br></div><div>If you open up a Windows command prompt on one computer and try pinging the other computer, does it work?</div>

If it works OK, chances are you have a Firewall program running on one or both computers that is blocking port 9871. I will then need to know which Firewall program you are using. It's also possible your router is blocking communications on Port 9871.</div>
