<div>Well never used skimmer software. But I do connect to our (Frankford Radio Club) telnet clusters. So the filtering is keeping out the spots coming from locations that would be unhelpful to our locations. That being said though, I believe it is common practice (I maybe wrong) for users/sysadmins of telnet/packet clusters to set their location and spot filters during contests for just the reason you specifiy. I find the feature very helpful in decsion making. I was aware of the Check multipliers window, QSY wizard with Hamcap. Very nice features. I have used them. I also was aware of the color coded summary at the bottom of the radio band maps and have used my second radio to check other bands. I did not know about the ALT F1 keyboard shortcut. I will use that next time. Still I think a summary indicator of spots coming in on other bands in the mult window or separate window would be a welcome feature. In light of the point you make perhaps the feature could be turned on/off and/or spots filtered. I know in my main logging program DXLab I can set spot collector to connect to several clusters at once and filter for only spots coming from selected areas or all spots from all areas of the world. Well these ideas are fun to discuss and hopefully we all can benefit from them.</div>

The <a href="http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Windows#QSY_Wizard" target="_blank">QSY Wizard</a> tells you which bands are theoretically still open to that country (not avail. in N1MM, requires installation of <a href="http://www.dxatlas.com/hamcap/" target="_blank">HamCAP</a> and VOACap, both free).<br>
<br>At the bottom of the <a href="http://docs.win-test.com/wiki/Menu:Windows#Radio_1.2C_Radio_2_.28Band_Maps.29" target="_blank">Radio 1 / Radio 2 band map windows</a> you will see a color-coded summary indicating how many spots of each type are available, e.g.<br>
<br> 2S 2N 2C 1Z<br><br>means 2 Spots total, 2 are New QSOs, 2 are new Countries, and 1 is a new Zone (on that band). Yes it is a bit cryptic.<br><br>The only advantage of the N1MM window is that it totals and categorizes all spots for all bands, instead of just the current band. The same info. is still available in Win-Test, but you do need to cycle the secondary radio window through all the bands via Alt-F1 or direct entry (e.g. 40 [Enter] if you checked Tools | Data Entry | Priority | Band) , and the Radio 2 band map will show you the total for each band as you switch to it.<br>

<div>For what it is worth, a badly needed feature is improved "Available Mults & Q's" window. I would like to see at a glance what is going on on the other bands as well as the one I am on. Using N1MM as an example with one quick glance I can tell what bands are opening and hot and switch either radio with a single click to check on activity. Also when working someone, a quick glance shows a color coded mults needed, so that I can pass the station to another needed band. While the mults window is in Win-test, it does not give me the information at a glance. You can display current band or all bands or selected bands. Unless I am missing something, one has to right click and change one or more selections. Instead how about displaying the current selected radio's band and then having an indicator visible that shows what is happening on the other bands. Just a request and not a comparison or slight to Win-Test.</div>
