<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>SO2R with 2 PC's and 2 Keyboard is not the real
best way to have all under ur control, need to move ur hands between keyboard to
type call in different keyboard may be with different layout</FONT></DIV>

point of view, obviously with some hard to remember approach, but is only a
matter of time u will be a master in short time.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The K3 DVK idea seems a good one, avoiding to have
PC connection, or external DVK, i don't see any particular issue to add, it even
in SO2R, simply configure the K3 DVK as External DVK that need to send command
to the K3 serial port ...</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am evaluating a set of 2 K3's for my next SO2R
effort and minimize the external hardware setting should be a great
choice.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>In the mean time doe's any one knows if with the
2nd receiver in the K3 is still possible receive in when trasmitting ? as
SO2Receive ? Of this can be done should be needed only one K3 with 2nd RX,
because most of the time on the 2nd radio is spent to seach on CQ with 1 radio,
or in assisted click and QSY on the spot .. ( with pan adapter on 2nd receiver u
can really do that also in not assisted .. )</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>Hey, don't joke about that! Many SO2R operators prefer to use two
keyboards, with two PCs side by side. But then they have to use hardware
lockout circuits to prevent transmitting on both rigs at once.
Ugh.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>Many SO2R ops think it would be great if you could network two Win-Test
computers for SO2R mode, with software lockout and message queuing, e.g.,
press [F4] on keyboard two to call a mult on Radio 2, then immediately press
[F1] on keyboard 1 to queue up a CQ message on radio 1, a message that will
only be sent after the [F4] finishes sending your call on Rig 2.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>To do the same thing in Win-Test today requires many more keystrokes,
careful timing, or lots of complex scenario programming and S&P message
programming.</DIV>
