I too am eagerly awaiting ESM feature in WT. Meanwhile, I find the following key mappings convenient:<BR>

I mapped space to insert and back slash (\) to plus. Choice of back slash was due to its closeness to the Enter key and it being a large key. This resulted in the following typical button-press sequence: F1 (CQ) - [enter the call-sign] - space (exchange) - back-slash (enter QSO, TU and new CQ). I also set the right bracket (]) key to a perform manual short confirmation (TU).<BR>

Or better than<BR> Enter, Enter and Enter of ESM ?</BLOCKQUOTE></DIV><BR>If you are a "touch typist" using a U.S. keyboard, you can hit [Comma], [Period], [Semicolon], and [Quote] quickly without having to look down at the keys. The same cannot be said of the [Insert] and [Plus] keys.<BR><BR>Of course if you are a "hunt and peck" typist, your eyes are always on the keyboard, and there's no need to remap any keys, unless you're using a laptop keyboard without a convenient numeric keypad [Plus] key.<BR><BR>[Enter], [Enter], [Enter] of ESM (not yet supported by Win-Test, but promised) can work nicely when everything goes as planned, and you and the software are both agreement about what mode you are in (CQ vs S&P), and it is clear what [Enter] will send next. Obviously you can't just keep pressing [Enter] in all cases, such as when you need to send "?", "QRL", ask for a fill, re-send the exchange, or anything else.
